Privacy Notice
What Kupkop collects about you, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
When you sign up: your full name, email, mobile number, home address, and barangay. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody at Kupkop can read it.
When you verify: a photo of your ID, and a photo of you holding it if you upload one. When you use the site: your rescue reports, adoption and surrender applications, donation details and proof photos, and the newsletter email address if you subscribe.
Why we collect it
We use your details to confirm you are a real, accountable person, to review your reports and applications, to confirm donations, and to email you about decisions, password resets, and newsletters you signed up for.
Who can see it
Only Kupkop admins can see your ID photos, contact details, applications, and donation proofs. ID and proof photos are stored in a private folder and are never reachable by a web address.
Two things are public. Animal profiles show photos and health updates that an admin chose to share, and confirmed donations show your first name, or Anonymous if you chose that. We do not sell your data.
Cookies and browser storage
Kupkop sets one login cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores display choices such as dark mode, whether the sidebar is open, and whether you dismissed the cookie notice or subscribed to the newsletter. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your browser's request for them.
We send email through a mailbox on our own domain. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) you may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it blocked or deleted, and you may object to how it is used. You can edit your name, contact details, and password yourself on your profile page.
To ask for anything else, email izzyicamina25@gmail.com. If you think we mishandled your data, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also the Terms of Use.
