Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about accounts, reporting strays, adopting, and donating.
Do I need an account?
You can browse Kupkop without one. To report a stray, apply to adopt, surrender a pet, or donate, you need an account.
Each person can have one account.
Why do you ask for a photo of my ID?
Kupkop checks every account so animals go to real, accountable people. Only Kupkop admins can see your ID photo.
Government-issued IDs and school-issued student IDs are accepted. If you use a student ID, you also upload a photo of yourself holding it.
What do the verification statuses mean?
Under review means an admin is checking your ID. Verified means you can report strays, apply to adopt, surrender a pet, and donate.
Not approved means the photo could not be accepted. The reason is shown on the verification page, and you can submit a new photo.
How do I report a stray?
Log in with a verified account and submit a rescue report with the animal's location, a short description of its condition, and a photo if you have one. Kupkop covers strays around Pasig City.
How does adoption work?
Browse the rescued animals, then submit an adoption application for the one you want. An admin reviews it and may arrange an interview before approving.
You can send one application per animal.
Can I surrender my pet?
If you can no longer care for your pet, submit a surrender application instead of abandoning it. An admin reviews each application.
Does Kupkop give financial help to pet owners?
No. Kupkop does not provide cash assistance. If you can no longer afford your pet's care, surrendering it to Kupkop is an option.
How do I donate?
Kupkop does not process online or card payments. You submit your donation details, either cash or items, and an admin confirms and records it once it is received.
Confirmed donations appear on the public dashboard. Donors are shown by first name only, and you can choose to appear as Anonymous.
